This crystal has a very thick, stout habit with sharp, complex faces and beveled edges!!! The most notable feature of this specimen is its intense color - in person it is almost like a cross between crocoite and wulfenite!!! This is due to an increased chromium content found in wulfenite specimens from this locality!!! The uniqueness of the color is immediately apparent in person!!! The crystal is complete and has no matrix - the bottom actually shows some etched areas and numerous tiny faces!!! These specimens are rarely seen on the market!!!
