Willemite

Tsumeb, Namibia

5.1cm x 3.7cm x 2.8cm

Description/Interesting Notes:

A magnificent example of blue willemite from Tsumeb!!! This specimen hosts a rich showing of glassy, gem clear crystals of blue willemite coating both sides of the specimen!!! The specimen consists of a thin slab of matrix that hosts a thick coverage of chunky, gem clear blue willemite crystals on both sides in addition to an aesthetic spire of crystals!!! This crystalline spire juts up from the specimen and is completely covered with gemmy, pristine crystals all around!!! The back side of the specimen hosts a sprinkling of tiny whitish translucent calcite rhombs and there is also a small amount of rosasite in association as well!!! These blue willemite specimens from Tsumeb are highly prized by collectors and it is easy to see why!!! Classic material!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!! Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!! STAY TUNED!!! MORE AUCTIONS WILL BE ADDED SATURDAY NIGHT FOR A SPECIAL 5-DAY AUCTION, ENDING THURSDAY MAY 16th!!!
