Description/Interesting Notes:
An absolutely stunning example of vanadanite from Morocco!!! Taouz produced a small number of fine vanadinites back in the early eighties and material
from the locality is seldom seen on the market today!!! This specimen consists of a small group of complex quartz crystals with a sharp, pristine
vanadinite crystal aesthetically perched on top!!! A very dramatic and showy specimen indeed!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!!
Wolfgang Pohl worked in the mining industry in Namibia in the 70s and 80s and was a
prolific collector and dealer during and after this time!!! He would make trips back
and forth to his native Germany trading specimens he had acquired in Africa for
worldwide specimens!!! Pohl was rather meticulous with his labeling and record keeping
with most of the specimens in the collection having catalogue numbers, label with info
on locale, source/dealer info, acquisition date, and any other relevant notes!!! However,
the most interesting feature is that most of the labels also had a small sketch of the
specimen on the reverse side as well!!!
