Vanadinite and Descloizite

Mammoth-Saint Anthony Mine, St. Anthony deposit, Tiger, Mammoth District, Pinal Co., Arizona

5.36cm x 4.08cm x 2.7cm

Description/Interesting Notes:

A classic example of vanadinite on descloizite from Tiger!!! This specimen hosts numerous orange crystals of vanadinite perched on a carpet of darkly colored descloizite crystals!!! The vanadinite crystals have lively orange color and marked translucence!!! The vanadinite crystals are doubly terminated and lustrous!!! The descloizite crystals are present as platy black microcrystals that provide a handsome contrast to the orange vanadinite crystals!!! Classic material!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!! Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!!
