Description/Interesting Notes: A rare example of vaesite from the Congo!!! This specimen consists of a solid mass of vaesite with a few unidentified translucent crystals partially included within!!! Upon close inspection with a loupe or scope, one can find some tiny crystals of vaesite both included in these translucent crystals and in some tiny cavities as well!!! The areas that appear to have some orange staining are actually areas that host submillimeter acicular crystals of an unidentified orange mineral!!! This specimen retains an old "Burminco" label as well!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
