Turquoise

Vielsalm, Stavelot Massif, Luxembourg Province, Belgium

4.36cm x 2.8cm x 1.7cm

Description/Interesting Notes:

A rare example of crystalline turquoise from Belgium!!! While turquoise is well known in its massive form, examples of crystalline turquoise are quite rare!!! This specimen hosts numerous balls of sharp, lustrous crystals of turquoise in addition to a significant showing of individual crystals and crystal groups!!! The balls of crystals have intense turquoise color and a gorgeous, glowing translucence while the remainder of the crystals are razor-sharp, brilliantly lustrous, undamaged, and GEMMY!!! Upon close inspection a significant portion of the crystals can be seen to be gem clear!!! There is a partial coating of white, microcrystalline wavellite in association as well!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
