An absolutely extraordinary example of tugtupite from Greenland!!! This specimen hosts
some of the finest tugtupite I have ever seen!!! This specimen hosts a striking mass of
intensely colored, gemmy tugtupite!!! The tugtupite has wild cherry red color and
marked clarity - this is literally as good as it gets!!! The tugtupite appears to have some
crystallization as well!!! Of course the tugtupite fluoresces
intensely under both SW and LW UV and also displays intense tenebrescence (yes, this
specimen gets even MORE red than in the pics after exposure to UV)!!! In addition to the tugtupite, there is some
yellow-brown sphalerite as well as several unidentified species (some of which also fluoresce different colors as well)!!!
This specimen is WAY better than the pictures show!!! In person this
specimen will knock your socks off!!! A truly extraordinary example of this rare and
colorful species!!!
