Tourmaline Dunton Gem Quarry, Newry, Oxford Co., Maine from approx. .82cm to 1.65cm 16 specimens! Ex. Neil A. Wintringham Collection

Description/Interesting Notes: A fantastic example of this sought after gem species from Maine!!! This is a group of 16 individual tourmaline specimens!!! There are several terminated crystals, along with a few crystal segments, and a pair of pink nodules!!! The crystals exhibit a range of colors from pink to the characteristic minty green color that has made this locality so famous!!! While the crystals are not pristine, opportunities to pick up parcels of this classic old time material are few and far between!!! This group of crystals was acquired in a small collection of gem tourmaline crystals from the Wintringham collection!!! I am told that Wintringham collected these crystals along with Frank Perham!!!
