Torbernite Ruggles mine, Grafton, Grafton Co., New Hampshire 7.82cm x 4.8cm x 3.65cm

Description/Interesting Notes: A rare, old time example of torbernite from this famous New Hampshire locale!!! I must start off by saying that we have handled a LOT of material from this locality and have never seen a torbernite specimen from this locality!!! When we acquired the Peppis collection we acquired a few hundred pounds of Ruggles mine material (Albert Peppis had worked the locality with the Schortmann brothers in the late 30's and 40's) - and there was not a single torbernite specimen to be had!!! This specimen hosts a rich showing of platey, slightly pearlescent green crystals of torbernite scattered across the matrix!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!!
