Description/Interesting Notes: A classic, old time example of thorite from Norway!!! This specimen consists of a large, significant crystal of thorite!!! The crystal has some defined crystal faces and dark color!!! Upon close inspection on the reverse one can see a few tiny areas of clarity where the color can be seen to be a very dark brown with orange highlights!!! The specimen retains an affixed catalogue number from the University of Delaware Mineralogical Museum (and it should be noted that it had a scrap of paper noting that it came from George English)!!! Classic old time material!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
