Thomsonite-Ca with Analcime & Chabazite

Beech Creek Quarry, Mount Vernon, Grant Co., Oregon

4.2cm x 4cm x 2.6cm

Ex. Ken Hogan Collection

Description/Interesting Notes:

A terrific example of thomsonite from Oregon!!! This specimen was actually labelled as "blue" thomsonite on Ken Hogan's label!!! This specimen consists of a vuggy, basalt matrix that hosts a striking six millimeter hemisphere of thomsonite in addition to colorless chabazite crystals and two small pockets lined with gem-clear analcime crystals!!! The thomsonite crystal has a wonderful glowing translucence and attractive blue color!!! A very unique specimen indeed!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! This specimen retains Ken Hogan's original label!!! Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!! STAY TUNED!!! MORE AUCTIONS WILL BE ADDED MONDAY NIGHT FOR A SPECIAL 5-DAY AUCTION, ENDING THURSDAY JANUARY 14th!!!
