Native Tellurium with Tellurite

Fata Baii (Facebanya), Zlatna, Alba Co., Romania

3.56cm x 2.68cm x 1.77cm

Ex. Krantz

Description/Interesting Notes:

A rare, old time example of native tellurium with tellurite from the type locality in Romania!!! This specimen hosts a rich showing of brilliant, silvery native tellurium included within the matrix and accented by thin coatings of yellowish green tellurite!!! The tellurium is well crystallized and numerous crystal faces can be seen throughout the specimen!!! Upon close inspection with a loupe or scope, one can see some tiny, complete crystals of native tellurium in some tiny vugs - some of which are coated by a thin coating of tellurite!!! Rare old time material!!! Specimen retains a Krantz label as well!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!! Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!! STAY TUNED!!! MORE AUCTIONS WILL BE ADDED MONDAY NIGHT FOR A SPECIAL 3-DAY AUCTION, ENDING THURSDAY DECEMBER 1st!!!
