Native Tellurium with Quartz

Emperor Mine, Vatukoula, Tavua Gold Field, Viti Levu, Fiji

5.32cm x 3.92cm x 1.25cm

Ex. John D. Hallahan Collection

dated Nov. 8, 1978

Description/Interesting Notes:

A terrific example of this rare native species from Fiji!!! This specimen specimen hosts a broad face that is loaded with brilliantly metallic crystals of native tellurium in association with tiny quartz points!!! Although it is difficult to appreciate in the pics, the specimen is loaded with sharp, brillian, eye-visible crystals evenly distributed across the entire face!!! The crystals are very well formed and undamged, consisting of brilliant hoppered crystals to 1mm in size!!! This specimen retains an old label from the John D. Hallahan collection that is dated November, 8, 1978!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!! Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!! STAY TUNED!!! MORE AUCTIONS WILL BE ADDED SATURDAY NIGHT FOR A SPECIAL 5-DAY AUCTION, ENDING THURSDAY DECEMBER 2nd!!!
