Zoisite var. Tanzanite with Laumontite, Graphite, & Calcite

Merelani Hills, Lelatema Mts, Arusha Region, Tanzania

3.1cm x 2.93cm x 1.9cm

Description/Interesting Notes:

A fantastic, matrix example of tanzanite from Tanzania!!! This specimen hosts a sharp, pristine crystal of gem tanzanite in association with numerous gemmy partial crystals in a matrix of calcite, laumontite, and graphite!!! The main crystal consists of a razor-sharp, glassy, gem clear crystal of purplish blue tanzanite!!! There are numerous other partial crystals present embedded in the matrix that host significant areas of gemminess and range in color from yellow-golden to rich purplish blue!!! Upon close inspection one can see well formed crystals of laumontite in association, as well as tiny groups of calcite crystals as sell!!! Simply a fantastic, rare matrix example of this famed gem species!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!! Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!!
