Strontianite Strontian, North West Highlands (Argyllshire), Scotland 4.05cm x 3.72cm x 2.53cm

Description/Interesting Notes: A classic, old time example of strontianite from the type locality in Scotland!!! This specimen hosts a thick spray of light apple green strontianite on a small amount of matrix!!! The crystals have marked luster and the individual crystals are much more sharply defined than the pictures show!!! The strontianite has marked translucence and handsome light apple green color!!! This is old 19th century material!!! This specimen came out of old University of Delaware stock and retains a handwritten label that notes "Genth" (Frederick A. Genth b.1820-1893) on the front and "from A. Montgomery" (Art Montgomery b.1909-1999) on the reverse!!! seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
