Description/Interesting Notes: A remarkable example of ruby spinel in gem phlogopite from Mogok!!! This specimen consists of a stark-white calcite matrix that hosts a thick, tabular crystal of gem phlogopite that is prominently included with a striking ruby red spinel crystal!!! The gem phlogopite crystal is thick, lustrous, and gem clear!!! The spinel crystal has a highly complex, somewhat compressed habit and a small portion of it actually protrudes from the phlogopite crystal!!! There are also a few smaller spinel crystals included within the phlogopite as well!! This specimen has gorgeous color and a glowing translucence in person!!! Simply a gorgeous combo indeed!!!
