Spinel with Clinohumite and Pollucite on Calcite Andrembesoa Commune, Betafo Department, Vakinankaratra Region (Betafo - Antsirabé region), Antananarivo Province, Madagascar 4.18cm x 3.02cm x 3cm

Description/Interesting Notes: A fantastic combination specimen from Madagascar!!! This specimen consists of a marble calcite matrix that hosts a striking purple spinel crystal paired with a complex orange clinohumite crystal and a complex colorless pollucite crystal!!! The spinel is razor sharp, glassy, and gemmy!!! The clinohumite has terrific rich orange color, marked translucence, and lustrous faces!!! The pollucite consists of a large, highly complex, etched crystal that partially envelopes both the clinohumite and the spinel crystal!!! The pollucite is a slightly different color than the matrix so it is difficult to discern in the pictures, but it is quite easily discernable in person!!! Simply a magnificent specimen!!!
