Description/Interesting Notes: A superb example of sphalerite from New York!!! This specimen consists of a complex floater crystal of sphalerite!!! The crystal is highly lustrous with sharp, complex faces, VERY intense yellow color, and gem clarity!!! Simply a magnificent example of the species and a very fine Pierrepont sphalerite indeed!!! This specimen retains its original NY State Museum label as well!!! The pics don't even come close to doing it justice!!!
