Description/Interesting Notes: An unusual example of sodalite from a very rare locality indeed!!! This specimen consists of a massive portion of lively blue sodalite that exhibits an attractive variety of hues and marked translucence in areas!!! This specimen retains an old label from the Tohoku University in Japan with notation that it is from the collection of K. Omori!!! The specimen also retains an old label from the Cilen collection as well!!! Extraordinarily rare provenance indeed!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!!
