Smithsonite & Rosasite

79 Mine, Dripping Spring Mts, Gila Co., Arizona

10cm x 7.5cm x 5.2cm

Description/Interesting Notes:

A classic example of smithsonite from Arizona!!! This specimen hosts a gorgeous showing of green and light blue smithsonite in association with turquoise colored rosasite!!! One side of the specimen hosts an elongated vug filled with rich, characteristic green smithsonite with pronounced translucence and lively velveteen luster!!! The opposite side hosts a vug that is crawling with curious, disc-like sprays of smithsonite crystals that almost give the appearance of translucent light blue worms in person!!! One portion of the specimen hosts a broad face of intensely colored rosasite as well as scattered, smaller areas of smithsonite!!! This specimen is in fantastic condition and displays gorgeously all around!!! Classic material!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!! Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!!
