Description/Interesting Notes: A classic, old time example of smithsonite and hemimorphite from this historic locale!!! These classic specimens date to the 19th century (the locality was abandoned in 1884)!!! This specimen consists of a handsome combination of tan colored smithsonite in association with gemmy crystals of hemimorphite!!! The smithsonite crystals are present as sharp, somewhat translucent rhombs!!! The hemimorphite crystals are present as sharp, undamaged, colorless blades with gemmy clarity and bright glassy luster!!! This specimen is way better than the pics show!!! This specimen is from the collection of Neil A. Wintringham and retains his label as well!!! Classic material!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
