Native Silver with Sphalerite and Quartz

Veta Hundimiento, Porco, Potosi Dept., Bolivia

2.9" x .87" x .59"

7.3cm x 2.2cm x 1.5cm

Description/Interesting Notes:

A unique example of native silver from a very small new find in Bolivia!!! This specimen consists of a thick "rope" of native silver that was characteristic of this very limited find!!! I was told that this unique appearance may be some due to some kind of pseudomorphism!!! In any case, it is quite distinctive and very attractive indeed!!! Near the base of this specimen there is also an associtation with tiny sphalerite crystals and quartz points as well!!! The pics don't even come close to doing this specimen justice!!! A magnificent Bolivian silver indeed!!! Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!! STAY TUNED!!! MORE AUCTIONS WILL BE ADDED SATURDAY NIGHT FOR A SPECIAL 5-DAY AUCTION, ENDING THURSDAY JULY 10th!!!
