Native Silver with Sphalerite

New Nevada Mine, Batopilas, Andres del Rio District, Mun. de Batopilas, Chihuahua, Mexico

6.72cm x 5.35cm x 1.9cm

Description/Interesting Notes:

A classic example of native silver from this famed locality!!! This specimen consists of a dense, showy cluster of complex native silver crystals in association with some minor sphalerite!!! Aside from the minor sphalerite, this specimen is comprised almost entirely of native silver!!! The native silver is present as a dense, rigid network of dendritic crystals!!! Upon close inspection, one can see a great variety of complex crystal habits including numerous complex spinel twins!!! The crystals have a gorgeous, brilliant metallic brilliance with an attractive golden patina!!! This specimen displays fantastically all around!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Simply a fantastic native silver from Mexico!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!! Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!!
