Native Silver

Freiberg District, Erzgebirge, Saxony, Germany

4.65cm x 3.66cm x 2.87cm

Description/Interesting Notes:

A fantastic, old time example of native silver from this historic locality!!! This specimen is almost entirely comprised of native silver!!! This specimen consists of a dense, showy tangle of native silver wires!!! The wires are present both as thick, chunky ropes and delicate fine wires - all arranged in a showy, swirling tangle of antique, tin-white metallic brilliance!!! This specimen is very dense and surprisingly heavy in person!!! The native silver exhibits a slightly varied antique-silver patina with some darker accents punctuating the tips of some of the silver wires!!! This specimen displays fantastically from nearly every angle!!! This specimen was acquired from collector Bob Jenkins and retains his label as well!!! The pics don't even come close to doing this classic beauty justice!!! Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!! STAY TUNED!!! MORE AUCTIONS WILL BE ADDED MONDAY NIGHT FOR A SPECIAL 3-DAY AUCTION, ENDING THURSDAY MARCH 17th!!!
