Description/Interesting Notes: A fantastic old time example of scorodite from this classic English locality!!! This specimen consists of a quartz matrix that hosts a magnificent showing of scorodite crystals!!! The scorodite crystals have rich color that exhibits dramatic color change between sunlight/full spectrum fluorescent and incandescent lighting - changing from a choice blue green to a lively purplish blue!!! The color is so rich because unlike the typical crystals that are somewhat thin and elongated, these are particularly "chunky" almost pseudo-octahedral crystals that range in size to nearly 4mm!!! The crystals are sharp, glassy, and undamaged!!! This specimen displays magnificently and is quite lively and showy in person - the digitial camera simply could not capture just how striking this old time beauty is!!!
