Description/Interesting Notes: A classic example of sapphire from Sri Lanka!!! This specimen consists of a single crystal of sapphire with a smaller twin in association!!! The crystal has lively blue color that exhibits characteristic banding and gemmy clarity!!! The crystal has glassy luster and exhibits some a bit alluvial wearing on the edges!!! Upon close examination the end that appears to be incomplete actually shows some complex growth features as well!!! The pics hardly do this handsome gem justice!!!
