An amazing specimen from this famous and long defunct locale! This extraordinary specimen consists of a rich covering of brilliant silvery-golden delessite on a calcite matrix. In addition to the delessite, there are numerous babbingtonite crystals and some minor epidote crystals as well. This specimen is incredible in person, you would be certain that you were looking at native silver or gold! There is a lot more going on with this specimen than the pics show - it is nothing short of astounding in person! A rare and aesthetic beauty indeed. This specimen is from the well known Brandenberger Collection (b.1910) and retains its original label.
