Rutile

Gamsberg, Khomas Region, Namibia

2.56cm x 2.3cm x 1.72cm

Ex. Charlie Key

Description/Interesting Notes:

A fantastic example of rutile from this seldom referenced locality!!! This specimen consists of a complex, doubly terminated rutile crystal!!! There is a second smaller, interpenetrant crystals present as well!!! The crystal is highly lustrous with sharply striated faces and lively red highlights and flashes within!!! The crystal is sharply terminated with sharp, lustrous terminations!!! This specimen is WAY better than the pics show!!! The color is a much more significant red-brown loaded with lots of brighter red highlights throughout!!! This specimen is in fantastic condition all around!!! These Gamsberg rutiles are quite scarce indeed!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!! Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!! STAY TUNED!!! MORE AUCTIONS WILL BE ADDED SATURDAY NIGHT FOR A SPECIAL 5-DAY AUCTION, ENDING THURSDAY DECEMBER 29th!!!
