Description/Interesting Notes: A rare, old time example of rutile from France!!! This specimen hosts a large, complex area of crystalline rutile prominently positioned on matrix!!! Upon close inspection, it is clear that the rutile is much better crystallized that it at first appears!!! The rutile is lustrous and has deep red color with significant flashes of color within!!! This is OLD material from a rare French locality!!! This specimen retains an old label from the A.E. Seaman Mineral Museum with L.L. Hubbard collection (1849-1933) notation!!!
