Corundum var. Ruby in Pargasite Fiskenaes (Fiskenaesset), Kitaa (West Greenland) Province, Greenland 5.9cm x 2.24cm x 2.2cm

Description/Interesting Notes: An absolutely magnificent example of ruby from Greenland!!! This specimen consists of a olive green matrix of translucent pargasite!!! Let me start off by saying that this specimen is AMAZING in person!!! The ruby crystals have some of the finest color I have seen in a ruby specimen - it is much redder than the pics show!!! The color is so intense that it was actually throwing the camera off!!! The color is INTENSE!!! The individual crystals are highly complex and somewhat rounded with marked clarity ranging from high translucent to GEM!!! This specimen is loaded with ruby crystals throughout and they are all quite prominent and pronounced against the pargasite matrix!!! This is a KILLER specimen indeed!!! This would be an amazing ruby specimen from ANY locality, let alone Greenland!!! This specimen retains an old dealer label as well!!! The pics don't even come close to doing it justice!!!
