Description/Interesting Notes: A terrific, single crystal of ruby from Burma!!! This specimen consists of a complex single crystal of ruby crystal with a small amount of an unidentified mineral in association!!! The crystal has a complex, pseudo-octahedral habit with glassy luster and lively pinkish red color!!! The crystal has marked translucence as well!!! There is a small area on one side of the crystal that hosts a curious box-work of colorless, reticulated crystals!!! These crystals are colorless and intimately associated with the ruby - they are quite hard and lustrous as well!!! Very curious upon close examination!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!!
