Description/Interesting Notes: A fantastic example of ruby from California!!! This specimen host an extraordinary showing of ruby crystals for this rare, seldom referenced locality!!! The crystals are unusually fine for the locality in terms of size, sharpness, color, and clarity!!! This specimen hosts numerous significant crystals scattered about the matrix!!! The crystals range in size to nearly 1.2cm!!! The crystals have sharp, lustrous faces and a rich purplish red hue with marked translucence!!! This specimen came from a single large boulder that produced a number of the finest specimens from this rare small find!!! Upon close inspection there are several other species in association as microcrystals, including fuschite and pyrite!!! This is a killer example for the locality!!! Don't miss out!!!
