Description/Interesting Notes: A unique and unusual example of rhodochrosite from this classic locality!!! This is a group of rhodochrosite crystal spherules!!! These are not just "balls" of rhodochrosite - these are actual spherical groups of rhodochrosite crystals!!! Upon close inspection one can see the tiny, lustrous, individual crystals on each spherule!!! These unique specimens are complete floaters with no point of attachment or associated matrix whatsoever!!! The indivudual spherules are in fantastic condition with microcrytalline surfaces and rich pink color!!! Nearly all of the specimens are single "spherules" however there is one "double" and one "triple" present in this unique group!!! This group of specimens came from a single find!!! A very unique example of this esteemed species indeed!!! The pics hardly do them justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
