Description/Interesting Notes: A magnificent, old time example of rhodochrosite and quartz from Butte!!! This specimen consists of a fantastic cluster of rhodochrosite crystals in aesthetic association with sharp, lustrous quartz crystals and accented by a sprinkling of golden pyrite crystals!!! The rhodochrosite crystals have a rich, lively pink color with marked luster and sharp crystals to an impressive 1.7cm!!! The quartz crystals are sharp and complete!!! It appears that there were several successive generations of rhodochrosite crystals and the quartz crystals are perched in a partial cast of rhodochrosite crystals!!! This is an absolutely gorgeous Butte rhodo in every regard - the color, association, sharpness, quality, etc. etc.!!! It displays amazingly and is in magnificent condition!!!
