Description/Interesting Notes: A gorgeous example of rhodochrosite from this classic locality!!! This specimen consists of showy rhomb of choice, deep pink rhodochrosite in association with numerous razor-sharp, gem clear quartz crystals!!! The rhodochrosite crystal is gemmy and highly lustrous with showy deep pink color!!! The crystal is sharp, complete, and undamaged!!! The crystal has complexly modified edges and features that, upon close examination, all have razor-sharp definition and glassy luster!!! This specimen is absolutely gorgeous in person!!! These incredible Pasto Bueno rhodochrosite specimens were recovered for a small time in the 1980's and could easily be mistaken for material from Sweet Home!!!
