Description/Interesting Notes: A unique example of rhodochrosite from Mexico!!! This specimen hosts an aesthetic showing of highly complex rhodochrosite crystals perched on a vuggy matrix!!! The crystals exhibit unusually modified, elongated rhombs that have glassy terminations and a unique two-toned appearance!!! The crystals have rich pink color that turns almost reddish at the gemmy termination!!! The body of the crystals have an almost matte luster except when viewed at just the right angle, when one can see the glassy flash produced by oriented crystal faces!!! The crystals are in fantastic condition and display magnificently in person!!! Classic material!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
