Description/Interesting Notes: A terrific, old time example of rhodochrosite from Broken Hill!!! This specimen hosts a rich blanket of lively pink rhodochrosite draped over a cluster of complex calcite crystals!!! Upon close inspection the rhodochrosite crystals can be seen to consist of intergrown groups of finely bladed crystals!!! Upon close inspection one can find some tiny spessartine garnets in the matrix - a classic Broken Hill feature!!! Older material from the collection of Jack Strange!!!
