Description/Interesting Notes: A fantastic example of this very rare species from the type locality!!! Rheniite is a very rare sulfide of Rhenium!!! Rhenium is exceptionally rare in the mineral kingdom!!! This specimen hosts a rich showing of very well formed crystals of rheniite on matrix!!! Upon close inspection one can see that these crystals are sharply formed and brilliantly metallic!!! Simply a magnificent example of this very rare species from the type locality!!! This specimen is from the personal collection of Ernie Schlicter and retains both his personal label with detailed notecard and an older, foreign dealer label as well!!!
