Description/Interesting Notes: An incredible, unique example of quartz from Finland!!! This specimen exhibits highly unusual quartz crystals on matrix!!! Although previous label describes the crystals as "pseuo-octahedral", when viewed from certain angles the crystals appear to have a beta-quartz like form as well!!! Even more remarkable than their overall habit is the crystals' unusually rounded features!!! Upon close inspection it is immediately apparent that this is not due to any kind of "polishing" or even naturally occuring wear!!! The rounded features are completely natural, original CRYSTALLINE features!!! Upon close inspection with a loupe or a scope one can see all kinds of unusual and detailed features!!! The crystals measure up to 2cm and have a handsome smoky hue with marked clarity and flashy play of light within!!! Given their unusual appearance, one might even mistake these crystals for another species but make no mistake - these ARE quartz crystals, and they are some of the most unique quartz crystals I have seen!!!
