Pyromorphite

Chester County Mine, Phoenixville mining District, Schuylkill Township, Chester Co., Pennsylvania

7.8cm x 5.32cm x 4.4cm

Ex. John H. Marshall Collection No. 3117

Description/Interesting Notes:

A classic, old time example of pyromorphite from this historic locale!!! This specimen is comprised largely of pyromorphite with some scattered areas of intergrown matrix!!! The pyromorphite is present as small, intergrown crystals with vugs hosting slightly larger crystals!!! Nearly all the visible pyromorphite is crystalline!!! This specimen is way better than the pics show!!! This locality ceased production around 1920!!! Classic material!!! This specimen is from the collection of John H. Marshall and retains his affixed catalogue numbers as well!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!! Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!! STAY TUNED!!! MORE AUCTIONS WILL BE ADDED SATURDAY NIGHT FOR A SPECIAL 5-DAY AUCTION, ENDING THURSDAY OCTOBER 11th!!!
