Description/Interesting Notes: A fantastic example of this rare species from Canada!!! This specimen consists of an etched calcite matrix that hosts numerous sharp, lustrous crystals of pyrochlore in association with vesuvianite and phlogopite!!! The pyrochlore crystals are present as sharp, modified octahedral crystals that range in size to over 8mm!!! The crystals have bright, glassy luster and dark color with reddish highlights and flashes within!!! The pyrochlore crystals are perched among complex crystal groupings of greenish vesuvianite and well-formed phlogopite crystals!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!!
