Pyrite pseudomorph after Pyrrhotite with Sphalerite, Calcite, & Jamesonite

Herja Mine, Chiuzbaia, Baia Mare (Nagybanya), Maramure? Co., Romania

11cm x 6.6cm x 5.3cm

Description/Interesting Notes:

A fantastic combination specimen from this classic locale!!! This specimen consists of a cluster of glassy, complex sphalerite crystals that hosts numerous showy pseudomorphs of pyrite after pyrrhotite in association with scattered crystals of calcite and balls of silvery gray, hair-like crystals of jamesonite!!! The hexagonal, bladed pseudomorphic crystals of pyrite after pyrrhotite are simply incredible upon close inspection!!! The crystals are in fantastic condition and this specimen displays magnificently in person!!! There is a lot going on with this specimen and there is a lot more to see in person!!! Showy and unique material!!! Ex. Howard Belsky!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!! Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!! STAY TUNED!!! MORE AUCTIONS WILL BE ADDED MONDAY NIGHT FOR A SPECIAL 3-DAY AUCTION, ENDING THURSDAY FEBRUARY 21st!!!
