Pyrite

Dallas, Dallas Co., Texas

5.65cm x 4.84cm x 4.7cm

Ex. Florence Mecke Collection No. 93-1-R

Description/Interesting Notes:

A magnificent and unique pyrite crystal from Texas!!! This specimen consists of showy cluster of large, intergrown pyrite crystals!!! The pyrite crystals have an attractive, unique bronze-like patina with multi-hued metallic accents!!! The specimen is much more metallic than it appears in the pictures!!! The crystals have a remarkably complex nature and an overall cubo-octahedral form!!! This specimen is complete and undamaged!!! This specimen is from the collection of Florence Mecke who collected actively from the 1940's to the 1970's!!! Simply a magnificent and showy example of pyrite from this uncommon locality!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!! Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!! STAY TUNED!!! MORE AUCTIONS WILL BE ADDED MONDAY NIGHT FOR A SPECIAL 3-DAY AUCTION, ENDING THURSDAY OCTOBER 20th!!!
