Description/Interesting Notes: A terrific, old time example of pyrite from Virginia!!! This specimen consists of a knob-like cluster of intergrown pyrite crystals on a small amount of matrix!!! The pyrite crystals exhibit a truly unique, highly complex habit that simply needs to be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!! The crystals have a brassy hue and a marked iridescence in areas!!! The crystals are in terrific condition and the specimen displays fantastically in person!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!! Older material!!!
