Pyrargyrite with Siderite

Samson Mine, St Andreasberg, Harz Mts, Lower Saxony, Germany

1.42" x .81" x .74"

3.6cm x 2.06cm x 1.88cm

Description/Interesting Notes:

A classic example of this sought after "ruby silver" from Germany!!! This specimen consists of a complex group of pyrargyrite crystals with a small amount of siderite in association!!! A number of the pyrargyrite crystals exhibit a somewhat curious bladed-looking or almost spikey-looking habit that give the specimen a decidedly unique appearance!!! The crystals show the classic flashes of that are so characteristic of the species!!! The pics hardly do this unique specimen justice!!! This locality was closed in 1910!!! Classic material!!! Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!!
