Description/Interesting Notes: A terrific example of proustite and native arsenic from Germany!!! This specimen hosts a striking single crystal of intense, ruby red proustite perched on a matrix of native arsenic!!! The proustite crystal has absolutely stunning gemminess, brilliant glassy luster, and choice crimson red color!!! The native arsenic matrix actually hosts numerous feather-like patterns that are actually casts after former dendritic native silver crystals!!! Upon close inspection one can see that much of these casts actually hosts microcrystals of proustite!!! The proustite crystal measures 7mm with a larger area of massive proustite just below it as well!!! Classic old time material!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!!
