Polybasite and Acanthite Arizpe, Mun. de Arizpe, Sonora, Mexico 2.4cm x 2.35cm x 1.65cm

Description/Interesting Notes: A classic, old time example of polybasite and acanthite from Mexico!!! This specimen hosts a complete, undamaged crystal of polybasite in association with a complex group of dendritic acanthite crystals and prominently perched on a quartz matrix!!! The polybasite crystal exhibits characteristic tabular form with concentric striations, and it is polka-dotted with smaller, brilliantly metallic polybasite crystals as well!!! The polybasite crystal is complete and measures over 1.3cm!!! The acanthite crystals exhibit a highly complex, dendritic form that appears to be partially pseudomorphed to polybasite as well!!! There are numerous tiny quartz points behind the polybasite and acanthite crystals and there is a small amount of massive calcite present as well!!! This specimen is in fantastic condition all around and is quite handsome in person!!! Old material!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
