Polybasite

Arizpe, Mun. de Arizpe, Sonora, Mexico

3.25cm x 2.6cm x 1.77cm

Ex. American Museum of Natural History

Ex. Tony Nikischer Collection #1145

Description/Interesting Notes:

A fantastic example of this uncommon silver bearing species from Mexico!!! This specimen hosts a broad group of concentric, hexagonal plates of polybasite on a matrix of massive and intergrown polybasite crystals!!! The polybasite crystals show marked luster and sharp definition!!! Old material!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!! This specimen is from the collection of Tony Nikischer and retains its original personal collection label (with AMNH notation)!!! We just acquired the 6000+ specimen PERSONAL collection of Tony Nikischer and there are going to be some very exciting minerals to come in the upcoming days and weeks!!! Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!! STAY TUNED!!! MORE AUCTIONS WILL BE ADDED MONDAY NIGHT FOR A SPECIAL 3-DAY AUCTION, ENDING THURSDAY JANUARY 24th!!!
