Native Platinum with Native Gold

Konder alkaline-ultrabasic massif, Aldan shield, Ayan-Maya district, Khabarovskiy Kray, Far-Eastern Region, Russia

.37cm x .28cm x .27cm

.2 grams

Description/Interesting Notes:

A rare and unusual example of crystalline native platinum with native gold from Russia!!! This specimen consists of interpenetrant cubic crystals of native platinum with epitaxial native gold on the crystal faces!!! The native gold covers a significant portion of the specimen, giving is a lively golden color and brilliance in person!!! Upon close inspection with a loupe or scope, one can see some tiny stepped growths in a few areas on the platinum crystals!!! Simply a fantastic example of these two highly sought after precious metal species!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!! Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!! STAY TUNED!!! MORE AUCTIONS WILL BE ADDED MONDAY NIGHT FOR A SPECIAL 3-DAY AUCTION, ENDING THURSDAY MARCH 8th!!!
