This specimen consists of interpenetrant cubic crystals of native platinum with epitaxial native gold on the crystal faces!!! The native gold covers a significant portion of the specimen, giving is a lively golden color and brilliance in person!!! Upon close inspection with a loupe or scope, one can see some tiny stepped growths in a few areas on the platinum crystals!!!
