Description/Interesting Notes: A rare and unique example of this "Holy Grail" mineral species from Bolivia!!! This specimen is from a new find in an area much better known for its fine vivianite specimens!!! These phosphophyllite specimens actually formed in a sedimentary deposit and many are actually the replacements of fossil gastropods or have formed in the spheroidal cavities left behind by prehistoric gastropods!!! This specimen consists of a complex cluster of light green phosphophyllite crystals aesthetically perched on matrix!!! Matrix specimens from this locality are somewhat scarce!!! This specimen has lively green color, luster, and marked translucence!!! The crystals are very clearly twinned in characteristic fashion!!!
